A member of the class of drugs known as gonadotrophins, Meriofert PFS is a highly purified human menopausal gonadotrophin. Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) activity of 75 IU and luteinizing hormone activity of Meriofert 75 IU are both included in each freeze-dried vial (LH). To increase the overall LH activity, human chorionic gonadotrophin (hCG), a hormone naturally found in pregnant women’s urine, is added.

Follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) activities totaling 150 IU are present in each freeze-dried vial (LH).

Meriofert 75 IU is used as part of a regimen of treatment for assisted reproduction or to treat infertility. The likelihood of having multiple pregnancies rises with assisted reproductive technology.
